Shout out to my absolute favorite ice cream shop ever, Hug Life. I remember when my partner Ash found Hug Life and we were stoked to try out all that vegan goodness back in the day. Since day 1 I've been all about their Thai Tea ice cream, and I find peace in the fact that I'll never change. #consistent
That first trip to Hug Life was back in Garden Grove, circa 2017-ish? A couple crows feet ago, for sure. Since then Hug Life has expanded to 3 shops spanning across SoCal. And ONE OF THESE SHOPS IS RIGHT DOWN THE STREET FROM US NOW. 🙃
We knew it would be over when we heard they were opening up shop in Retro Row, Long Beach - but I surely didn't know just how often I'd find my booty walking down the street to that magical place. And recruiting my loved ones to join the party.
They nestled themselves in our very vegan gayborhood and I do wonder if it was that one time we mentioned to them that they should expand to LB that planted that seed. 🌱
Regardless, my Thai Tea heart is happy with them so close by. 🥰
Hug Life is definitely worth checking out if you are in the Long Beach/Garden Grove/Orange areas. Or, you can be committed like us, and travel to them from wherever you are. They are worth it, they can work it and they might flip their thing and reverse it for you too. 🍦
